Because the project has used social dialogue as a tool in its activities and targets, has been designed for women that constitutes priority both in EU social policies and in EU employment policies, and has handled women at sectoral level in textile industry where they are employed intensively, it is connected to the overall objectives of the Programme to a great extent. The working conditions of women has been tried to be improved within the scope of the project. The project is also related to the principle of equality of opportunities, which is one of the main branches of EU Employment Strategy. This principle emphasizes that women and men shall have equal opportunities in order to increase the rate of participation of women in labour market and better conditions shall be created for them to reconcile domestic and working lives. With this project, the leading employee and employer unions within textile industry, in which they are social partners, have acted through social dialogue with the responsibility and awareness of producing policies supporting the access of women to labour market in order to increase womens rate of participation in labour force that is amongst the priorities in national and international arena.
