Turkish textile sector still ailing despite moderate damage in 2009
The global financial crisis took less of a toll on theTurkish textile sector in 2009 when compared to other sectors and previouspredictions, despite the fact that the sector suffered the worst economicdownturn in a decade. Authorities cite complaints about a lack of necessaryinitiatives as a hindrance to their ability to rejuvenate the still-ailingsector, rebounding it to pre-crisis levels.
