We attended to increasing the number of women in decision-making positions within trade unions course in Denmark
The Education Department of the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) organised Promoting participation of women in trade union decision making course which was held from 11-15 March 2009 in Helsingor, in Denmark.
This course aims were:
- To develop an understanding of current practices for women participation in TU structures, at different levels;
- To identify and evaluate good practices in trade union policies to increase the number of women in decision-making positions;
- To provide for an exchange of experiences on these trade union policies;
- To enable participants to develop action plans to promote women in TU structures.
- To encourage working on transnational projects to promote increased women ‘s participation/awareness
All this aims were met at the end of Seminar. Our International Relations Expert F. Pinar Pehlivanoglu has attended to this course on behalf of Our Union and She presented all the succesfull projects as well as action plans which was prepered with Hak-Is Confederations’ experts.
In the Seminar, participants from 12 different countries shared the experiences and identified good practices in trade union policies to increase the number of women in decision-making positions.
